SALE OF GOLD COINS

Department of Posts has tied upwith Reliance Money Limited forthe sale of Gold Coins through selected Post Offices. The scheme was introduced at 103 post offices in Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamilnadu Postal Circles on 15.10.2008.
Reliance Money Limited suppliesGold coins of denominations - 0.5gram, 1 gram, 5 grams and 8 grams of 24 carat (99.99% pure) to all the listed post offices. These gold coins bear the logo of India Post. The sale of gold coins is carried out through its web-based Gold Inventory Software. The coins are packed in a sealed cover with certification from Valcambi, Switzerland which has low risk of duplication.
