India Post has rolled out SB Order No. 12/2025, introducing a major shift in how Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) transactions are accounted:
  • Transition from ACCOUNT SOL to TRANSACTION SOL model
  • Establishment of a Centralized Processing and Reconciliation Centre (CPRC) in Chennai
  • All non-counter transactions (e.g., ATM, mobile banking, NEFT, auto-debits) now handled centrally
This aims to reduce reconciliation issues and improve daily reporting accuracy.
